Hannah is happy, loved, and is provided everything she truly needs in daily life to live comfortably with her incurable neurological condition (cerebellar hypoplasia).
As her family, we always strive to give her MORE though. She spent 3 years without a forever home and came to us in November 2019. She has deserved a family her whole life that is willing to go above and beyond for her. She works SO HARD everyday to do the most basic tasks, and we want to work equally as hard for her. This includes providing her with some things that aren't NECESSITIES, but that we want to ensure she always has to live her absolute best life.
Hannah goes to hydrotherapy weekly. She has a wheelchair, but is very hard on it due to her condition, so we are sure we will need to continue maintaining that and ensure this availability for her (her current one will not hold up her entire life). She needs games, puzzles, toys, etc. for indoor activities and mental stimulation, especially when the weather outside does not suit her and her temperature intolerance. We are exploring and still trying to find the right outerwear and gear for her to be ABLE to be outside (in cold and/or hot), which has included many unsuccessful attempts thus far in buying/trying products. She currently needs a new wagon as hers is ripping down the side that she leans against. We use the wagon when she is unable to be in her wheelchair (cold/snowy weather, heat, etc) and also just to transport her in general leaving the home and going on outdoor adventures.
There are things we would LOVE to add for Hannah, such as other forms of therapy recommended for her condition, but financially we just have not been able to yet. We continue to explore those options and their cost, but have not added any in yet. At the time, hydrotherapy is VERY beneficial for her body and we make sure we are able to provide this, but it is not cheap. Hannah truly wants to live and move independently, and she is making tremendous progress. She always achieves the goals she sets out to accomplish, even if it looks a little different!
Your help is ALWAYS appreciated, but NEVER expected. We feel so much love for Hannah from everyone, that alone is heartwarming for us daily and encourages us to continue sharing her journey publicly. We hope Hannah gives you some smiles and happiness with her contagious personality. We can assure you she is well-cared for, spoiled, stubborn, loved, and as mischievous as she presents :)
All donations will be used to support Hannah directly. Depending on the day, week, or month, it could be something different, but will always go toward her and her ongoing needs (wheelchair, parts, wagon, therapy, general daily supplies, supplements, and activities, etc).
