Hello all!
Ashleigh and Jim Amorando here. This is our 8 year old Husky/Lab mix, Wobbles (named for her having no more than 3 legs).
While giving Wobbles a very thorough belly rub, we noticed some lumps under the skin in the mammary area. (Trying not to freak out about the possibility of the C word...)
After evaluation yesterday, the vet said that they were indeed of concern and recommended that we have them surgically removed and sent out for testing.
With one of us needing to be out of work on medical leave earlier this year, the savings that we ~barely~ had have more than been depleted. The funds raised here will go toward the estimate given to us by the veterinarian (not including any overages the procedure should run, not including travel, not including long term medical care, and not including yesterdays evaluation [a nice $250+ surprise bill]).
The funds are needed as soon as possible. The surgery require a 75% deposit, and we want to be able to get our little fur baby on the mend as quickly as we are able.
Wobbles was the runt of her litter to our husky Koda, and the only one of the 7 that we kept. She is Gus Gus' absolute best friend (our 12 year old rottie/lab mix; the gentle giant)- from falling asleep in his kibble bowl when she was able to walk on her own, to spooning together in the sunshine through the window. Everyone who meets her can see she's an absolute sweetheart. When she wants attention, she will STARE into your soul lol with her own big brown eyes, tap your knee with her paw, and if you happen to glance her way, the tail starts up with the wagging, and she can't wait to give kisses!
Please, consider a few dollars- they add up! There is no amount too small.
There are no words to express our gratitude, other than thank you.
Please share.
Love,
Ashleigh, Jim, Gus Gus, Koda, and Wobbles
