Me and my son are currently trying to flee an abusive marriage I have been stuck in longer than I have wanted to be. He has not let me worked, and he keeps money from us. I have sold many of my personal belongings and sit about 1k but it isn’t enough. I have a place to stay whenever this is all said and done rent free however I need a lawyer first to obtain a custody order so he cannot claim I have “kidnapped” my son or abandoned him. He is extremely reactive and has outbursts multiple times a week he cusses at us, throws things and punches anything in his sight. I thought for a long time that I would be his only victim of his abuse but over time my son has started to take his emotional blows and hateful words and threats. I am tired of my son and I living in this and both of us deserve a better life. It is going to take a strong fight and will not be easy. I will be struggling way more than I can imagine already.

if you have it in your heart to donate EVERYTHING is going towards lawyer fees to protect me and my son from our abuser. Just like any narcissist he is extremely calculative and has been through two previous marriages that involved abuse before me. So he knows his way around. He has taken so much from us already and I refuse to stay silent anymore.
