Christopher Smith-funeral and family support

My brother Chris was an explorer, philosopher, science/science fiction enthusiast (and secret writer). He was the stoic protector; never showing anger, though making it plain where he stood- between danger, pain, and inhumanity and his loved ones. There wasn't a single person he wouldn't invite into polite, non-judgmental conversation, no matter how opposing their views. He loved to walk in the woods and urban areas to catch unique glimpses of the world and show them to us through his camera lens.

Of all the things I know unequivocally about my often very private brother was how deeply devoted and adoring a husband he was to my sister (in law), Dianne and that he was a proud stepfather of 2 girls who have become amazing women.

My dear brother Christopher passed away suddenly on Monday morning, December 4th of a seizure at his home. All of the beauty, kindness, patience, and that wry half-smile smile have passed out of this world and left his family stunned and feeling rudderless. I am creating this fundraiser because my sister (in law) and nieces have also lost the income which my brother brought into the home. As winter is upon us, not only do they continue to have a mortgage to pay, but heating oil costs on the near horizon. There are also groceries and other costs that I won't know of that will need to be covered. Lastly, funding is needed for funeral arrangements and associated costs.
