Support for Mark's Final Journey

My name is Shelby Oliveira and I am Marks oldest daughter. It’s saddens me to have to create a Gofund me page during this difficult time.

Several months ago, my dad was diagnosed with Esophageal cancer and everyday since, has been fighting his way through every obstacle and bump in the road that has come his way.

Unfortunately, today my sister and I have moved our dad to inpatient Hospice in Providence, Rhode Island where he will remain completely comfortable until God decides it’s his time.

For those that know my dad, he has always been the light of every room that he walks into. He would take his shirt off his back and give it to anyone and everyone that needed it. Growing up on the soccer and baseball field, my dad was always there bright and early cheering everyone on with the biggest smile on his face.

Not only is he the greatest dad but the best Pop Pop to his grandchildren who loves him unconditionally. It puts a smile on my face that my dad watched his eagles win the Super Bowl and take home a ring.

With the heartbreaking talk that my family and I have had with the doctors, we have decided to create a Gofundme to help with the medical expenses and funeral arrangements that will come soon. As my dad is comfortable now in good hands and care, the next couple days and weeks can be very emotional.

I know life can be hard at times, but we would like everyone to share and consider helping my family during this hard time.

My dad is not only my Hero but such an inspiration to all!
