a big heart for a Teenie girl

Believing in the power of helping hearts to mend a broken one.
This sweet little 10-week-old girl was recently rescued alongside the rest of her abandoned litter in San Bernardino County. Shortly after, she was diagnosed with a stage 5 heart murmur. Her prognosis estimated for a short life expectancy, but additional tests were required for an accurate diagnosis. Despite her known condition, a family couldn't help but fall in love. This love quickly resulted in a conscious decision to adopt the little miracle & a commitment to do whatever they can to help her, despite any hardships they soon may face.
First, let me tell you a little bit about Teenie.. She is a feistey, affectionate, adorable little 3.5lb mutt who fortunately has no idea she is sick. Internally, she is suffering from not only one, but two congenital heart defects.
1. Patent ductus arteriosis (PDA) - when the ductus arteriosus remains open after birth & the abnormal communication between the arteries passes extra volumes of blood into the lungs.
2. Pulmonic stenosis - when the semilunar valve (great vessel that takes blood to the lungs) are thickened and/or partially fused together, stopping sufficient blood flow.
Both of these conditions are birth defects & together they significantly reduce her chances of survival. That is, if we do nothing.
After all of Teenie's extensive testing, the Cardiologist revealed another (more expensive) option. Teenie happens to be a perfect candidate for 2 medical procedures (estimated at $2500 each). These procedures can not only save her life, but have the ability to completely restore her heart function & correct her genetic defects. Therefore, giving her a chance at the long, happy, healthy pup life she so deserves!
We are humbly asking for any contribution towards Teenie's heart fund. Whether it's $1 or $100, every little bit counts.
Hoping you will find it in your heart, to save another :)
