Hello All,

Western North Carolina is still in recovery after Hurricane Helene swept across the area late September of 2024. Mabel, NC is one of many small townships that suffered the impacts of Helene. This area is very much still in recovery and most likely will be for years to come. Streams that were once 10 feet wide are now 30 with the banks being swept away from the shear force of flooded waterways. Farms, structures, and access have all suffered from mudslides, microbursts, and the rush of rising waters. Mabel, NC was effected by it all. This fundraiser page is a means of support for this beautifully resilient community. The people of Mabel, NC continue to exemplify perseverance in the aftermath of Helene and this is simply an effort to hopefully speed up the recovery to normalcy.
