Meet Lil Bear … the name we have given him until he finds his fur-ever family.
i have no sob story to write, the vet bill is paid ($1,215.05), if you have reached out and wanted to donate to help with the bill, I figured this would be easiest. (Pics of the bill are attached)
A little back story… the family handed him over to us on Friday after a kind neighbor reached out on FB asking for someone to help, because he was in desperate need of care. Maddie & I honestly had no idea how bad he was until we opened the shoebox and saw his little face. A trip to the vet Monday morning was going to be too late…. He was so weak, so we headed to the emergency vet. It’s not our first go round with kitties.
The emergency vet gave two options, and one of them was much cheaper than the other.
1. Euthanize (the vet said besides the eye, he was in good shape with a little love & care)
2. Surgery to remove the eye
With teary eyes, my sweet girl layed her debit card on the table and said “Mom, there’s nothing wrong with him except his eye”, we can’t do that. So…This is for Maddie ❤️
Theres so many that have reached out to check on him, and that have wanted to contribute and I’ve been told to do this or someone else is going to make one , so here you go.
To the two people that have messaged saying, we should have just put him out of his misery.. I’m sorry… if you could see him snuggled up, you would apologize. He is adjusting well and will be just fine.
He will be looking for his forever home when he’s all healed up (and after he’s neutered, of course). In the meantime, he’s being spoiled and given round the clock care..literally.
If you have read to the end of this, and we are FB friends.. know I always share updates on my page.
And, if we aren’t..send me a request. I would love for you to follow his journey
