Justice for Sue

It is with deep sorrow and utter pain, that we have to say, that our beautiful mother/wife/nan gained her angel wings on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. Due to this unexpected tragedy, our family is raising money for funeral expenses. The end of August she ended up in a rehab/nursing home to help gain strength back in her legs, she was there until December 1st, 2023, where she ended up in the ICU in critical condition, and for 13 days she fought fiercely for her life, but unfortunately, God called her home. Those 13 days at her bedside, in the ICU, were beyond traumatizing on all of us, both mentally and physically. My mom had some of the best nurses and doctors taking care of her, they didn’t give up, and helped us keep that small glimpse of hope for a miracle. Our mom's passing was sudden and unexpected. It's so unfair and she didn't deserve any of this. She was literally counting down the days until our dad's retirement on 12/31/23, so we could bring her home from the nursing home, and take care of her as a family. As of right now, her cause of death is pending. We won't have all the answers until we get the autopsy results. Our mom's death is currently a police case.

We have a memorial service reserved for January 24th, 2024, which is her birthday, she would have been 68. We just thought that her birthday would be the perfect day to celebrate her life. We're not sure if we will be able to have the memorial service due to the cost of everything. As some of you might already know, it's ridiculously expensive to lay a loved one to rest. Our mom did not have life insurance. As a family we have been off work since she was admitted to the ICU. At this moment, none of us are working, and we just need time to be with family as we attempt to navigate this unbearable loss and learn how to live life without our mother/wife/Nan. No matter how old you get, you always need your mom. Our hearts are absolutely broken.

We know times are tough, especially with the holidays here, but trust us, this wasn't the holiday we were expecting. Any donation at all would help us tremendously, even if it's $5.00, any amount would be greatly appreciated! All donations will go to funeral expenses, nursing home bills, and medical bills that our dad is receiving.
