Help For Rob

I have been good friends with a fellow named Rob for about 20 years. His mom and I have also become friends.
They are and have been very poor since his dad passed when he was very young.
He has Becker Muscular Dystrophy (BMD). Less severe than Duchenne M.D. and a less common form of the disease. BMD usually appears after eight years of age.
Over the years, he has gone from walking without much difficulty, at 14 years of age, till now. He must use an electric wheelchair that the government supplies.
His mom must help him move about otherwise. For now, he has some use of his hands but barely any strength in his arms.
He has a keen sense of humor and learned to accept this disability years ago. On his birthdays and for both of them at Christmas, I have sent small gifts and some financial help.
He is an introvert to a degree and spends most of his days listening to podcasts that interest him, gaming and reading on his computer. It is entertainment, plus he has one other friend who regularly chats via his P.C.
When I send him anything, it usually involves computer use.

I am now reaching out to ask you and others to help with this request of a Gofundme.
He won't have the use his hands much longer, and I want to help him have enjoyment while he still can.
Talking to him ( his birthday was just this past week ), I discovered that he would like a PS5.
I can pay for part of the cost, but I do need help to make this come true for him.
I'm going to be incredibly sad as I am now when I think of his passing. So young and such a difficult life.
Not just for him but also his mom. She's done her best and worked hard to give him as good of a life as she could. At one point, he had to go live with another family because she could
not afford to support him and herself. She could write a fantastic book on their struggles. She has faith, and she also has a unique spirit.
I hope you can do a bit in your heart to help this young man. He's in his late thirties, and it's common for someone with this disease to not live past his early 40s.
The PS5 shows prices online between $700 and USD 1400. He said he could get one for around $ 550 USD when we talked about what he'd like.
His T.V. is also starting to go. Wouldn't it be great to help this young man to have the surprise of his life, with a new PS5 and a new T.V? I think so.
I do wish I was more able to do this all on my own. I am thankful to know so many good people I can ask for help. I will start by sending him USD 100 and hope for cooperation from others to carry this through. No matter the amount, let's do our best to help Rob in his last years.
Of course, any amount at all would be very much appreciated.
Thank you.
