UPDATE 5/3/23:

A message from Sydney and Patrick: "Thank you all for your support, both monetarily and financially. Champ had surgery yesterday and there have been major complications. Both of us have been able to stay in SF near the hospital and not worry about missing work or paying for meals because of all of you. Champ is stable on the ECMO life support machine but things are very much still touch and go. We hope for some positive thoughts and next steps in the next few days. Please keep our little fighter in your thoughts. XOXO"

Sydney and Patrick are back in the NICU with another sweet baby boy — and we're fundraising to help them weather this overwhelming season.

Chamberlain, “Champ” was born on 4/13/23 at 34 weeks. While in the NICU, Champ was diagnosed with an interrupted aortic arch (a congenital heart problem). He was transferred to UCSF where he will need surgery. This will be a long road for Champ and the entire Williams Family.

Sydney and Patrick have been going back and forth from Napa to UCSF while Sydney tries to recover postpartum.

Yes, this is a lot. They've already endured a scary NICU experience with Livingston, and it feels unfair that they have to do it again with their sweet Champ.

Our hope is to raise funds so Sydney and Patrick can prioritize all of their energy on caring for Champ and his two brothers. On top of the standard challenges that come with postpartum healing, Patrick is at a new job and hasn't accrued time off. They would be grateful for help with funding meals on the go, transportation, a place to stay in SF when needed, and relieving some of the financial burden so Patrick can take days off to be with Sydney, Champ, Reggie, and Livingston.

We know that Sydney and Patrick are the perfect parents for Champ — a strong baby who is clearly already living up to his name.
