Help Dr. Majed Reunite with his Beloved Wife and Son

My name is Batoul and I am organizing this GoFundMe campaign on behalf of my relative Dr. Majed AlSultan in Gaza. Dr. Majed AlSultan is making an urgent appeal for assistance to help temporarily relocate his wife and his son from Gaza amidst the unfolding humanitarian catastrophe. The situation is dire, and he's deeply concerned for their well-being as they struggle to survive under incredibly harsh conditions.

Dr. Majed is a resilient cancer survivor now face another battle as I grapple with chronic kidney disease. His journey for treatment led him to Egypt before the conflict erupted, where he found solace in the promise of medical care. Despite the ongoing turmoil in Gaza, Egypt's offer of free medication and treatment provided a glimmer of hope for him and other Palestinians in need. Currently residing in Egypt, he confronts the challenges of his illness alone, as his wife remains trapped in Gaza. This separation weighs heavily on him, as his wife has been his unwavering support system throughout my illness. The absence of her care and companionship leaves me feeling drained and weary. In this critical time, reuniting his family becomes imperative for his well-being, highlighting the urgent need for humanitarian assistance amidst the conflict.

Since October 7th, Dr. Majed's family has endured the harrowing experience of three evacuations. Our once-thriving neighborhood of AlSalateen in the North of Gaza now lies in ruins, with their home reduced to rubble and Dr. Majed's business destroyed. Initially seeking refuge in different areas across both the North and South regions, their attempts at finding safety were further complicated when Israel designated the South as a purported safe zone, only to later distribute leaflets urging evacuation yet again.

This relentless cycle of displacement has left them in a state of constant fear and uncertainty. Dr. Majed's family, which consists of his wife and his son, Shady, now finds themselves living in a class in an UNTEA school with 5 other families in Deir-Al Balah, grappling with the harsh reality of having little to no access to basic necessities. The temporary shelter offers no sanitation facilities, medical supplies are scarce, and the daily struggle for food and clean water persists. The lack of connectivity isolates them further from the world and any potential aid.

Dr. Majed's son, Shady graduated from high school last year with dreams of pursuing a career in engineering. He began his studies at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, because of the war in Gaza, his educational journey was abruptly halted when the university was bombed.

For almost a year now, Shady's studies have been suspended, leaving him uncertain about his future and the possibility of securing a decent life for himself. Education is the key to a brighter future, and we are determined to help Shady resume his engineering studies and achieve his goals through your donation.

The fund will be directed towards covering the expenses associated with their travel to Egypt which are $5000 per person, and covering the expenses associated with Shady's educational needs.
