This might come as a shock to most of you for many reasons. I’m not one to normal ask for help and very often ask for prayers. But health has put a huge spin on my life. About 6 months ago I went to the doctor and in December ended up having surgery. Things just didn’t seem right to me and I was having severe cramps. So 4 weeks into my healing from surgery, we did more test. To find out there was a tumor on my uterus. So back for another surgery(total hysterectomy). Finally the cramping and bleeding was over! And I was ready to heal and get back to the old me. Working hard and enjoying life with my wife and son. 3 days after surgery the doctor called to see how I was doing. I was feeling great! Then he broke the news to me:( He took 8 lymph nodes and 2 from each side came back positive with cancer. Hearing it dang near killed me.
My next steps was to get myself together and run at it as hard as I could! So the following week I was off to get a port put in. Ten days after that I was back to see the doctor. And that Wednesday I was off to my first chemo treatment. Three days after, I was very tired and my legs hurt pretty bad. With the help of my wife, son and me pushing myself. We made it look like a breeze. Day 5 and 6 I started getting my energy back and by day 8 my legs was working good again. So
I was able to go to work for two days. I just can’t help financially like I use to and it breaks my heart. She is doing amazing job at keeping things going. But with all the medical bills and me not being able to help much. I know it’s going to get harder in time. Come September when I’m all done with my treatments…I pray I’ll be back to myself! And endometrial cancer FREE!
This took a lot for me to do! And if you can’t help financially. I TOTALLY understand. I will be great full of prayers as well!
Thank you ALL for taking the time to read my story and being a part of my journey. I have faith in God, the strength to fight this fight and two of my biggest supporters beside me! Along with a army of family and friends!
God Bless you all and thank you again for your love and support during this time! With love, Stacy
