hi! my name is bear and i am a trans man. i am almost 21 years old. i have been on t for 1.5 years and have known i was trans since i was about 13 but even before then if i would’ve had a name for it. my surgery date is confirmed for july 28th 2022 with Dr. Freet in Houston, TX. i will be responsible for 20% of the cost of surgery and however, i am grateful that it’s not 100% but even the 20% is going to be so difficult to come up with. not only that but i live entirely by my own means with little to no support from family. i’m going to be without work for up to 2 months (without complications) and i have no idea how i will be able to pay rent and take care of my beautiful cats within that time. i had to quit my job at walmart because of transphobia so now i am doing instacart deliveries in a car with 114,000 miles on it and no A/C. it does make decent money however my car is in horrible shape and everyday is a gamble whether it will start or not. so many stressors to worry about and i just thank any of you who have helped me a long the way, read this, or even donated. it means everything and the opportunity to get this surgery will increase the quality of my life tenfold and hopefully start a new journey of self love and leave the hatred for myself in the past❤️
