Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

My name is Alicia Gyimah and I’m a primary school teacher—a job that has always brought me so much joy and purpose. Sadly, I’m reaching out to you today during one of the most challenging times of my life.

Over the past few months, my health has taken a serious turn. I’ve been admitted to the NHS hospital four times, but despite extensive testing, doctors are still unable to provide a clear diagnosis. What we do know is that I have an inflamed lesion in my brain, which has begun to affect nearly every aspect of my life. My speech, vision, mobility, and even my ability to eat have been impacted.

Because of this, I’ve been unable to continue my work in the classroom and as my condition worsens rather than improves, I find myself in a situation where I need to seek private healthcare for more immediate and specialised treatment. Unfortunately, I do not have the financial means to do this alone.

This is not easy for me to ask, but I’m turning to you for support. With your help, I might be able to access the care that could lead to healing and recovery. Any donation, no matter the size, would mean the world to me.
