Teaching In Tanzania

Maasai Joy Children's Centre is a magical school outside of Arusha. Their school motto is "Eradicating Poverty Through Education". We have been going and supporting this school for 6 years but in reality the school and the students there give our students so much more than we will ever be able to thank them for!
We are raising money for 3 different items!
1) Unpoppable Soccer Balls!! Soccer is a HUGE sport in Tanzania. We would like to bring soccer balls that do not pop so they will have soccer balls all the time!! https://www.oneworldplayproject.com/ We are also raising funds to pay for the extra baggage to get the soccer balls to Africa.
2) We are raising funds to purchase supplies that will go towards putting shelves and cubbies in the classrooms. Many classrooms in the US have places to hold backpacks, storage for materials, etc. MJCC does not. Some teachers do not even have their own space. We would love to be able to provide the classrooms with shelves and cubbies for materials so they do not have to go on the ground.
3) Finally, every year we give each student at the school a t-shirt. It is getting more and more expensive to be able to do this. With your help we can still give each student at MJCC their own shirt so they can represent their school!
You can learn more about the service trip and see pics from past service trips at www.teachingintanzania.com
Asante!
