Kidney Transplant

Hi, I’m Wayne Edwards and I was diagnosed with kidney disease at the age of 29. I’ve been working towards a kidney for 2 years, but doctors like to ensure that blood levels are good and that you have the financials for medications and doctor visits after transplant. So they have given me a goal of $3500 to reach before I can be placed on a transplant list.

Even if you have people willing to donate they want to ensure that I have the financial stability for medications and also doctors visits after transplant. Because Medicare runs out a little while after transplant.

Well today I’m 31 and each week I have to go to dialysis (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) just to help with cleaning my blood and also filter out my fluids. This is something Kidney patients have to do to temporarily do what a kidney does but the drawback to this is that it drains you and it’s just not as good as a actual kidney. Life expectancy on dialysis is 5-10 years. And I want to live much longer than that and get back on track  to work as an electrician. 

My goal is $3500 and any dollar amount would be a blessing. If I can’t personally say thank you for your donation, allow me to say it now thank you for your help to reach my goal.
