Lydia's Feeding Chair

My name is Patty.  I am raising money for my daughter Lydia.  Lydia was born with Cornelia de Lange Syndrome or CdLS.  ShBecause of this syndrome Lydia has many severe disbilities. She has a fun loving personality and is making some progress even though she has just learned to walk.  She has no speech so communicating is very difficult, but she is showing an interest in becoming a little bit more inependent .   At the age of 20 she stands at 40 inches tall.  She has difficulty eating .  Lydia is missing fingers and can only use one hand to eat with.  She has just grown out of her baby high chair and is too small to sit at the dining room table .  We have been trying to have her sit on pillows but this is unstable and she keeps sliding around while her feet hang in the air and so is having alot of trouble eating safely.  her insurance has refused to buy her a medical feeding chair which can be custom made to her size.  It is called a Leckey Easy Seat.  It can be found on-line. So she desperately needs this chair to eat properly.  If Lydia had this medical feeding chair that can be made exactly to her height requirements she would be able to walk to it herself when she feels hungry, turn around and sit down independently and eat comfortably and safely for the first time in her life.  Please help Lydia be able to do this very simple task in life that would make her so happy and give her a sense of independence and accomplishment.  Our family thanks you so very much for helping Lydia in any way that you can.  Thank you all so very much.  Please feel free to ask any questions regarding Lydia and/or her syndrome.
