Support Recovery: Help Cover Medical Costs
Donation protected
On August 11th, I awoke feeling "a little off." I got ready for work for a typical shift. During dinner service, I started to struggle forming sentences and bumping into walls. I know that I can be a little clumsy, but I've learned that sometimes you have to listen to your body. I proceeded to drive myself to the ER (not the wisest choice, but 2 minutes away). After a CT scan and elevated blood pressure, I was cleared to go home. I should have stood my ground that I didn't feel any better (still having issues walking and controlling my right side). I went home, hoping things would improve. Three hours later, I found myself back in the ER undergoing another CT scan. Four hours later, I found myself in an ambulance being transported to another hospital. An ambulance ride has a lot in common with life. You're left facing where you've been with the hope that you're headed in the right direction.
I'm grateful for the care I received, including an MRI (not for the claustrophobic) and an EET (an internal picture of my heart). The heart looks good, and a plan has been put together to get me on a path for a full recovery. I've seen specialists almost daily to get the care and support to make a full recovery.
I'm fundraising to cover the medical expenses and ongoing treatment costs that are essential for my recovery. Your support will help me get back on my feet and regain control of my life.
