I am a coach at BHYFL. My sister, who is 23 weeks pregnant, has just been informed that her baby has spina bifida. She just found out that she has to fly to a hospital in Colorado to have surgery on the baby, within the next two weeks. From there, she will fly to the university of Cincinnati, where she will stay until the baby is born in May. The doctors there have to monitor her throughout the rest of her pregnancy, and then perform another surgery on the baby, as soon as it is born. Her and her husband do have insurance and im sure there are programs to help her along the way. She and her husband are both LPNs, so they make a living, but obviosly cant afford to miss this much work, on top of the huge travel expense. Thankyou for taking the time to read this.
