Please Help Save Luna

Donation protected
Around midnight on Sunday, I rushed my cat, Luna, to the emergency veterinary because I noticed she was having difficulty breathing. A normal breathing rate is between 15-30 breaths every minute. Luna was taking 60 breaths a minute while just laying down. She was evidently in distress and her breathing got worse once we got in the car and her anxiety skyrocketed. As soon as we arrived she was seen immediately. Around an hour later, the doctor came out to update me. Suddently, mid-sentence, she rushed back into the room because Luna had stopped breathing. She was given cpr right away. This is the moment I realized the gravity of the situation.
The doctor informed me that she found fluids around her lungs and a mass near her heart. Due to her weight, it was difficult to obtain a proper diagnosis so we were transferred to an advanced medical center. At this point, it is almost four in the morning. The doctor took her in as soon as we arrived as she was expecting us. Luna was hospitalized and kept overnight.
The doctor updated me throughout the day but still no diagnosis because it appears her main concern is the mass near her heart which she explains could likely be cancer. They are unable to examine her chest area because they don’t acquire the technology needed to do so. I now need to take her to another hospital where a cardiologist would see her and she would be hospitalized again.
By now, I have paid a total of $6,458 mainly with CareCredit and personal credit cards. With this next consultation and overnight stay I am looking at least an additional $1,500. Nearly $8,000 that I don’t have lying around but Luna means the absolute world to me and I am trying everything I can to keep her alive and well.
Luna is only six years old. She has the sweetest personality and loves to snuggle more than anything. She enjoys laying on my chest, purring then falling asleep unaware of the fact that she is 25 pounds and is easily suffocating me. Still, I don’t move an inch because I feel so fortunate to have such a loving being in my life.
Aside from the pain I feel, I don’t want Luna to suffer in pain as well. Please help me afford her procedures, any contributions are greatly appreciated.
