My name is Diana, I am a young mother to a wonderful 2 year old boy named Adao. We are currently living with my son's father. My son's father and I have different goals and lifestyles, therefore I have decided that I want to seperate, move forward towards achieving my dreams, and reclaiming my happiness. I have been a stay at home mom since my son's birth, being mostly financially dependant on my son's father.
Usually when people go through unexpected changes like these in life, they have people to help them transition; usually parents. I don't have that, coming from NYC's foster care system. I am in need of help. I've been in need of it for a while, but it's hard for me to ask for it. Finally, I have decided that if I want change, I must ask. SO, here I am.
I am raising money for a year's worth of rent for a studio/1 bedroom apartment for Adao and I to move into in Philadelphia, PA. Although I'd essentially need money for other things like groceries, toiletries, furniture and transportation, a home for us is the priority and anything is helpful.
Ideally I'd like to be able to find a place by March 1 st.
As a fairly new parent, I've come to understand just how important it is to be the best version of yourself. I have a little person watching me constantly and I don't want him to remember me being miserable and stagnant. I want to be an admirable example for my son, and want to show him that life is all about living it! Leaving my relationship and moving into our own space is the first step towards my independance. I am in the process of looking for a flexible job, and plan on creating a blog, and making paintings soon. This is an enormous, scary, change for me, but it is a necessary one for me to continue onto my journey. It would mean the world if I got some help along the way.
