My name is Wynn Glass. My dear, precious friend Stephanie Motes was diagnosed with invasive mammary cancer and has begun the arduous journey of chemotherapy. Stephanie has been a neonatal nurse in the UAB Regional Newborn Intensive Care Unit for more than 28 years. Due to the rigorous treatment she must endure, she has had to leave the job she dearly loves and the little ones she took care of to fight this battle. She now has to cope with the expenses without the financial security of her job due to length of her rigorous treatment while dealing with the side effects of chemotherapy. Stephanie is one of the most loving, caring, give-the-shirt-off-her-back people I know. She opened her home to me when I was going through my cancer treatment. She doesn't take no for an answer, and her love for her friends and family has never wavered. Stephanie needs our support not only emotionally, through prayers and visits, but due to the expenses, she can use our help financially as well.
