Over New Year's weekend, our friend John Reha fell off of a balcony.  I have included his words detailing the accident below, but in the meantime I have asked for his permission to pass the hat to collect donations and help him with things like, rent, groceries, time away from work, and what will inevitably be a nasty hospital bill.

John is one of the most compassionate people I know and he needs our help right now. Please consider digging around and maybe finding a few dollars under the couch cushions to send his way. Every little bit helps.

John's account:

"I am in the hospital after a bad fall on Sunday early. I fell approximately 15 feet, whereupon I fractured my left hand and wrist in multiple places, dislocated my left elbow, obstructed my brachial artery, and managed to hairline fracture my left fibula.

I'm going in for surgery tomorrow to bypass the artery, and that's all the doctors think need to be surgically fixed as of right now. Will know more after tomorrow.

Right now and not really in a place to want to see guests, and I'm not really in a place to respond to any messages or texts sent to me. Carolyn and Jenna and Allie have been wonderful in helping and if there's anything you would like to get across to me, please message them.
