My 12 year old granddaughter has been in the hospital for one week now. At first they were unsure what was causing the severe pain, inability to hold anything down and fever. They finally found her appendix had ruptured. Surgery was Sunday 9/7/25. She is one of six kids. Her mom has stayed by her side at the hospital, and unable to work. Her dad has been going as often as he can.

The financial impact was so sudden and such a bad time and it hasn’t stopped. They have not discussed when she may be released because she is not well enough to do. Today they discovered she now has a heart murmur. We are praying that they will not be placing a pic line, but if she is unable to eat they will have no choice.
