Rebecca (Bexx) 14 years old is currently looking for individuals, businesses or organisations of any size who would like to support her. Rebecca is currently an ambassador for “Fighting for Autism” and takes her role seriously both on and off the mats, her goal is to help raise awareness and acceptance of people with autism by competing at the 2025 WKC Events around the UK and overseas.

Background: Rebecca was diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) when she was 12 years old, after initially struggling and feeling different she decided to embrace her diagnosis and wanted to raise people’s awareness and acceptance of autism, Rebecca does this my going toe to toe with people on the mats and competing against some of the most talented fighters from around the world.

After winning a considerable number of medals and trophies from competitions all over the country, one of her proudest moments is being able to represent Scotland the last 2 years at the WKC world championships, coming home with an amazing 2 x silvers and 4 x bronze medals, another highlight for Rebecca was winning 2 x gold at IPPON for Kata Forms and Weapons in 2023.

Rebecca trains out of the Lions Den Dojo located in Stonehaven, the dojo is her safe space where she feels the most comfortable, surrounded by her teammates and her Sensei’s to guide her on her martial arts journey. Rebecca trains at the dojo 5 nights a week (Mon-Fri kickboxing and BJJ) and at the weekend via video lesson she trains with her Kiyoshi in America in Kata (forms and weapons).

Rebecca really is a fighter on and off the mats and has overcome so much at such a young age, from being diagnosed with SPD (sensory processing disorder), coeliac disease, seizures and then autism she takes it all in her stride.

All funds raised will go towards Rebecca's WKC competition expenses in the UK and overseas such as (approximate costs):

Competition entry fees: £1200

Fight kit/uniform and additional kit: £300

Fight insurance: £100

Travel and Accommodation: £2000

Rebecca’s believes that labels don’t matter and everyone should be accepted for who they are, we will be taking part in a number of fundraising events/challenges throughout 2025 to help Bexx reach her goal.
