Cancer Sucks

Last Sunday morning Terry woke to bleeding in his mouth and coughing up blood. His loving and concerned wife Nancy rushed him to Ascension Hospital in Tulsa where he was admitted. They both were confused as to where the blood was coming from. Terry had been diagnosed with Stage 3 throat cancer back in March and completed his radiation treatments in August. He was doing fine except for weight loss of nearly 50 pounds which was expected due to his treatments. Monday morning they did a scan and Terrys cancer has returned, and It has spread to the cartilage in his throat. He is going to require a full laryngectomy to remove everything in his throat. They have put in a feeding tube to help supply his nutrients. His surgery is scheduled for Thursday Feb 29. He will be in the hospital for 4-6 weeks and require multiple therapies to learn to talk, breathe differently, and swallow again. Anything donated will go directly to his wife Nancy Nading to help with expenses and medical bills related to his diagnosis and time off of work. Thank you all so much for any donations made.
