Caring for Chris

Chris Dunn is facing major surgery for a tumor that has been found within his spinal cord. He is the father to these four and has been a firefighter/paramedic for the City of Radford the the past 20 years. Chris has been struggling with back pain for a year or more and has been through PT, testing, and was seen by a neurosurgeon in Roanoke. Further testing discovered this tumor running through his thoracic vertebrae going from T1/T2 to T4/T5. Radiation is not an option at this time due to the size of the tumor. Chris will be having surgery to remove the tumor May 4. He will spend time in ICU and remain hospitalized for up to a week before being transferred to rehab. Chris will likely be out of work for 3-6 months if everything goes well. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated. Funds are needed for medical expenses not covered by insurance.
