Fighting for Pete

Donation protected
In July 2022, Pete Personette had his right kidney removed due to kidney cancer. On October 19, 2022, Pete was then diagnosed with Metastatic Small Cell Carcinoma of the Liver, which is a rare and aggressive form of
cancer that is very hard to treat and is terminal. This type of cancer spreads very fast and chemotherapy treatment is given in hopes of slowing down the spread of the cancer and prolonging his life, as much as possible.

Doctors advised us that Pete needed to start chemotherapy as soon as possible, because this cancer is extremely rare and usually found in the lungs, not the liver, therefore prognosis is poor. The survival rate is less than 5%.

Pete started chemotherapy treatment on October 24, 2022 for 3 days. He will do chemotherapy treatment every 21 days and will continue with chemotherapy until his body cannot take it any longer or he chooses to stop. From there, he will either go to hospice or continue his journey at home with his family.

Pete is a wonderful, loving and dedicated husband and father to his wife, Denise and son, Jacob. They have been married for over 32 years. He is also an extremely hard worker and has worked in the electrical supply business for over 30 years. Pete plans to continue working and providing for his family for as long as he can, even with this challenging road ahead. As you can tell, Pete is a FIGHTER! He has had to overcome many, many obstacles since birth, but this one might be his most challenging yet.

Pete, Denise, and Jacob will rally with their family and work families to fight this battle with him for however long GOD will allow us to keep him on this earth. However, the family will need financial help, as insurance coverage will only go so far and the bills are already adding up.

Pete and Denise's main focus is to get Pete the best treatment available. The out of pocket expenses will continue to add up quickly, from deductibles, copays, and multiple medical treatments. The road ahead will mean time away from their employment, as they seek to get Pete the best possible treatment.

While navigating on this difficult journey, our hope is that you can help Pete and his family by making a donation. Any amount you are able to give is greatly appreciated and will make a difference in their journey ahead. If you are unable to donate, we ask you to please pray. Please send positive energy, strength and love to Pete and his family and help us spread the word by sharing this GoFundMe.

With your love and support we can help make this journey more bearable in the difficult days ahead.

Pete and his family thank everyone for the love, prayers and support they have received and will receive during his journey.

Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and donations
