My name is Ahmed Al-Rozzi, and I'm a 19-year-old student from the northern Gaza Strip. In addition to being a dedicated student, I was also an avid athlete, finding solace and joy in sports amidst the challenges of life in Gaza. However, the recent conflicts have shattered our lives, leaving my family and me grappling with unimaginable loss.

Our once tranquil existence was abruptly disrupted when our homes and belongings were ravaged by the brutality of war. Alongside the destruction of our home, the conflicts cruelly snatched away my dreams of pursuing a degree in computer engineering (cybersecurity) at university. The educational journey I eagerly embarked upon was tragically halted, leaving me and countless others facing uncertain futures. The impact of this conflict extends far beyond material possessions; it has robbed me of cherished friends and family members, leaving wounds that may never fully heal.

Despite enduring injuries amidst the chaos, my family and I miraculously persevered. We were forced to flee multiple times, seeking refuge in makeshift shelters that offered scant protection from the elements. The grim reality we now face is one devoid of freedom, safety, and the most basic human necessities, such as clean water and sustenance.

The parents who once dreamed of seeing me graduate from college and excel in my athletic pursuits now struggle with the harsh reality of shattered dreams. Yet, my determination remains strong. I am determined to rebuild our shattered lives and provide for my family by continuing my studies abroad.
