Hey there,

We are Kye Popham and Zia Kalyan, a directing duo originally from Vancouver Island, Canada. We are hoping to raise funding for our debut short film. We are both personally invested in the project and need help with the remaining costs.

Earlier this month we finished writing the screenplay and are in the initial stages of production with filming starting mid October. It’s been our collective dream since we were young to direct movies and we are incredibly excited and passionate about this project. We are shooting on film which is a costly process so we need additional funds to ensure the production is seamless and of the highest quality. Our choice to use film is not just for aesthetic reasons, but also because it ties into the very essence and theme of our story. We believe that just as film captures moments in a tangible, almost visceral manner, our story captures the raw emotions and reflections of today's society in relation to technology.

We understand that times are challenging for many, and any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference. If you are unable to contribute financially, we would still deeply appreciate if you could share our campaign with your network. Word of mouth is powerful, and your support in spreading the word will immensely help our film. Every dollar raised will be invested directly into the production of the short film. This includes expenses for the film stock, development & scanning, equipment rentals, post-production, and festival submission fees. By contributing your name will be included in the credits of the film.

Our vision for this project is a culmination of our past experiences, passion, and our desire to bring forth a narrative that is meaningful, and will resonate deeply with audiences.
