Who I Am
Hi, I’m Sydney.
I live with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. Some days are manageable. Others feel impossible. I’ve spent years doing everything I can to heal through therapy, medication, hospital stays, but despite all of it, I still face moments where I feel completely overwhelmed and unsafe in my own body.
What I’m Raising Funds For
I’m raising $25,000 to get a fully trained psychiatric service dog, a medically necessary companion who can help me manage the hardest parts of my mental health.
This dog wouldn’t just offer comfort. They would be trained to:

Provide pressure therapy when I’m trembling or shutting down

Stay by my side when being in the world feels impossible
This isn’t just about emotional support.
This is about survival and safety.
❤️ Why This Means So Much to Me
I’ve fought really hard to be here, to stay alive, to get better, to hold onto hope. But healing with complex mental illness is exhausting, especially when you’re doing it alone.
This service dog would be a lifeline. It would help me feel safe, steady, and less alone. It would allow me to leave my home without fear, to breathe when everything feels too heavy, and to reclaim parts of my life I’ve lost.
How I’ll Receive the Funds
All donations made to this GoFundMe go directly to me through GoFundMe’s secure payment system. I’ll be managing the funds personally and providing updates along the way.
