I am asking for your assistance for my two-year-old son. Before the age of one, his pediatrician considered him advanced for his age, with all his milestones, and how he would engage in speech. That all came to an end when he received his one-year vaccinations.
The same day of his vaccine he developed a fever, I didn't think anything of it since that was normal. But when it peaked to 104 degrees, I was really scared. I quickly took my son Kaiser to his pediatrician and was informed he had dual ear infections. He was given antibiotics. I thought great in 10 days he will be fine. Boy how wrong I was. Six weeks and three different antibiotics later my son's ear infections ceased. But he was never the same. He completely stopped talking. I reported my concerns to pediatrician.
After reporting my sons speech issues to his doctors I was brushed aside. They did not take my concerns for my son seriously. After doing a speech evaluation with a speech therapist I was told that his speech had regressed but there was nothing they could do since it was not as bad. They would not help my son until his condition was more extreme. They would not do anything to prevent his speech from further deterioration. Now my son is two years old and his speech has completely ceased.
After a recommended evaluation it turns out he received a brain injury. A result of the high fevers due to the vaccine he received. In order to reverse the inflammation in his brain, and he needs 40 sessions of Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy. The cost is more than I can handle. Insurance does not cover the 40 therapy sessions of a total of $10,000. After contacting the manufacturer directly they are willing to give Kaiser a chamber with the oxygen concentrator for $6,000.
This is where I need your help. I have been fighting for my son for the past two years and I will not stop. I am asking if you can find it in your heart to please help my son get this much needed treatment. No amount is too small.
