UPDATE 10/22/25: Today's test results weren't what I hoped for. Wolf has aggressive inoperable osteosarcoma that's already spread to his lymph nodes and only a couple of months to live. I'm devastated! I will be trying to make him as comfortable as possible in the time he has left. Thank you all so much for your kindness and generous support!
UPDATE: 10/13/25 Took Wolf to the specialist this morning and the actual estimate for the CT Scan is $2,865.77 to $4,077.48 if he needs a biopsy. I made an appt. for the test/procedure for Wed. 10/22/25. Currently, the donations are up to $2,800 (less processing fees) and I've spent $255 of that for the consultation fee. So, I could really use some more help. Thanks so much for your consideration!
If he doesn't need the biopsy and there is any money left over, it will go to Wolf's continuing medical care. I spent the first year with him dealing with his chronic digestion issues (mushy poops). The Vet and I finally figured out something that works. He's on a prescription diet (Purina Vet Formula HA) and 4 different daily prescriptions for that as well as his anxiety and pain. They include Tylan powder (which I have to fill in capsules), Prozac, Gabapentin and Carprofen plus supplements.
I adopted my 6.5 year old Husky/American Eskimo rescue Wolf 3 years ago. Recently, he's had some trouble with his back right leg. Based on initial x-rays, the Vet says it may be osteomyelitis or neoplasia. He needs to have a CT scan (preferred) or possibly sedated x-rays. I've scheduled an appt. on 10/13/25 with a specialist but they won't schedule any tests until they've seen him. Initial estimates for the tests range from $1,500 to $2,500+.
I'm a widow on Soc. Sec. and have no family to help me with his vet bills. I recently had left knee replacement surgery and am barely able to make payments on what I owe for that. My credit cards are pretty much maxed out. Everything I had went to boarding him at a kennel for a month while I was recovering. He's back home and now this. I'm devastated. If anyone can help me with Wolf's vet bills, I'd greatly appreciated it! Thank you so much!
