On July 1st, 2022, our wonderful friend and family member, my roommate, Natasha Gosho passed away in a tragic accident. Our celebration of Natasha’s first Canada Day became a nightmare beyond our imagination when Natasha’s pool float capsized in deep, deep water. Despite remarkable efforts from our group, 911, and other beachgoers, we were unable to save her. It is with our greatest sorrows that we have started this gofundme to aid in bringing her home.

 

Natasha Gosho was a 19-year-old Zimbabwean international student studying a bachelor of science at Memorial University. She had just started her first semester and had a bright, successful future ahead of her. She had only arrived in Newfoundland in May, but had already made such an impact on all of those around her. She truly was a beautiful person inside and out, with such kindness and openness that made you feel as if you had known her for years. Natasha leaves family and friends to mourn all across the world. We will never forget her radiant smile, her kind and gentle nature, nor her zest for life.

 

Her untimely passing has placed an extreme financial burden on her family, and we are graciously accepting donations to help bring her body to rest in her home country. All proceeds will be sent to her uncle Dakarai Vusomuzi Moyana who has been chosen by the family to handle her affairs.
