This is Clover, she is our ~9 month old foster Frenchie who has been with us for about a month now. Clover came to us with no hair and red, inflamed skin that was itching and flaking. We have successfully gotten her skin issues to lessen, and she is now growing back her hair and no longer itching. However a new problem has presented itself. Clover is very sick, her antibiotics from the rescue ran out and she immediately started coughing a retching, she has been lethargic and no longer wants to run around.
We have reached out to the rescue to get her a vet appointment or even refill her meds but have been met with reluctance and no action. We finally took her to our own vet, and Clover has come back positive for multiple illnesses and is in need of treatment as soon as possible. The tests alone have racked up a little over $2,000 in bills and she still needs more tests done as well as treatment.
This wasn't disclosed to us by the rescue, as we're sure they have other sick dogs they're working to help, and we were unsuccessful making an appointment with their vet.
On top of this, we will need to adopt her if we want to keep seeking medical attention for her, and her adoption fee alone is $800. This rescue has had her for over four months and we're not sure they tested her for anything, since when we got her tested it was very apparent she needed help. She needs multiple more scans and X-rays in order to get to the bottom of her suffering.
These funds will go towards paying for her visits, all of the tests run, medicine and all other treatment needs!
Anything helps and we are so appreciative to those who help Clover whether it's by donation or spreading the word!
