Last Tuesday (Dec 16) Owen (14) was admitted to Burns Lake Hospital with a spiking heart rate ranging between 140-180. Since then he has been air ambulance to Edmonton University's Hospital's Heart Clinic.

He is currently struggling with heart failure, the left side of his heart is swollen and not pumping properly. Known as dilated cardiomyopathy. A large team of doctors are still working to find solutions to stabilize his condition. They are looking at the real possibility of installing a LVAD. (Left Ventricular Assist Device)
