BLM Scholarship

For every day I was old enough to understand, but too ignorant to see. I’m ashamed of previous words, thoughts, and actions. I’m sorry and I’m trying to do better. In hopes this will give someone an ounce of privilege my skin color has afforded me.

I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what I could do to have an impact regarding the BLM movement, and finally landed on creating a scholarship. Come to find out, this process isn’t as simple as you’d imagine, but the first step is gathering the necessary funds. I am donating $5,000 and my goal is to double this number. 

This will be given to an underprivileged, senior year student in Broward County, and used for tuition, and support services (books, computer, etc). I just partnered with the George Snow Foundation, to help me find the perfect candidate to be awarded the scholarship starting the Fall 2021 school year.
