My name is Ben, and my story is simple.
Over the past two years, I have only managed to stay in work for six months. Since losing my job in December 2024, I have done everything I can to stay afloat, selling around 80% of my belongings, including cherished childhood valuables, just to cover basic bills. My expenses are now cut to the bone, and I have managed to stretch things out until October. But I have reached the end of the road.
I have sent out countless applications, reworked my CV many times, and tried every approach, both professional and personal, humble and honest. No matter what I do, the responses always come back with the same painful word:
“Unfortunately.”
I am still applying every day, and I believe something will come through. But right now, I need help to make it that far, to cover essentials, to keep a roof over my head, and to have a little peace of mind while I keep trying.
Looking for work should not be a full-time, long-term battle, and doing it while worrying about whether you can pay your bills makes it almost impossible to rest, think clearly, or sleep. Your help, no matter how small, will directly ease that weight. It will mean I can focus on rebuilding stability in my life.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
Ben
