**Help Russ Hamilton and His Family Recover from a Home Flood**
Hello,
My name is Anthony Gangi, and I’m introducing you to Russ Hamilton, a retired Sergeant from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Russ started his career at San Quentin State Prison in 1989 and later played a key role in establishing a new juvenile facility in Tuolumne County. After retiring again, he worked as a caseworker for inmates and probationers at a local county jail and probation department.
I first met Russ when he joined me on an episode of Tier Talk. Those who know Russ understand his immense contributions to the corrections profession through both Tier Talk and Keepers of Kaos. Russ has dedicated his life to helping corrections professionals, always asking for nothing in return.
The past year has been incredibly challenging for Russ and his family due to multiple medical events. Recently, an unforeseen and spontaneous crack in a filter caused a flood in their kitchen, forcing them to leave their home. The insurance housing allowance will run out before repairs are complete, leaving them in a difficult situation. They also care for Russ’s mother-in-law, who has dementia, adding to the complexity of finding suitable housing. The insurance company has not been helpful, making this tough time even harder.
We are contacting you, our community, to help Russ and his family during this challenging period. Your support will help cover the housing costs until their home is repaired and provide some relief during this challenging time.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
Best regards,
Anthony Gangi
