Witton Church Walk - Flood Fund

You may be aware, or have seen first hand how the recent floods (20th & 21st January 2021) have affected our market Town of Northwich. This is devastating for the Town and all involved, particularly during a Pandemic.

Unfortunately it has affected our local school badly.

Witton Church Walk CE Primary School is our local School & Nursery, with a fabulous host of Staff, Teachers, and Head, all combined with the Community Support.

During this last flood, the whole ground floor of the school has been badly affected. Whilst the 'clean-up' operation is in progress (even across weekends), they can only allow 4 staff in the building due to COVID regulations. It has been estimated the time to get the school 'safe' is 10 weeks.

The Classrooms have lost a lot of items - some which can be replaced (by insurance etc) but others cannot - e.g soft furnishings, and those more 'homely' items that make our Children feel safe there. 

During the lockdowns, the school, staff and Head (Mrs Magiera) have been so supportive, and went over and above to help all Families. 

Now it's time for us to help them.

So myself (Amy Lear) and Gemma Lord have come together to set up a Fundraising page to help the School & Nursery - we hope you can help us!!!

Please can you do these 2 steps to help school?

1. Donate funds. Pretty please. 

This will go directly to PTA (charity account) who will send this straight to the school and help the classrooms get up and running again. In 'normal' times we would hold a fundraising event, but this can't happen. We know times are hard right now, but even a small donation will help. 

Maybe you want to bake some cakes and sell them to your neighbours to raise money?

Or do some jobs around the house to raise a few pounds for us?

Either way - all funds are gratefully received. (Be safe in COVID guys!)

2. Share, share, share.

Let's get the best we can for our fabulous School - we NEED our school to be safe, comfortable and ready for when this tough lockdown ends. 

Let's do this! The school deserve to rise bigger and better - the WCW way.
