We are looking to raise $100,000 to help restore my parents and siblings new home after a devastating blow!

After years of trying to purchase the home they had been renting, the landlord was forced to sell and unfortunately they fell short of the purchase price at the last moment. They we’re facing homelessness when they we’re blessed to find a home they could afford! After years of budgeting and saving, last month they became home owners for the first time! 

But unfortunately, that’s when disaster hit…

Early on Monday November 15th, 2021 they watched the waters rise. My dad Ryan went and talked to the mayor who said the waters wouldn’t get any higher, but just to be safe too put a stake in the yard to mark the water level that he should rely on later. When he looked out and saw it had ridden significantly, and was still coming. The water quickly rose, entering the house and getting deeper and deeper. Boats came for evacuation, he let the kids and my mom take the boat but he hoped to ride it out for fear of looters. As he waited he was helping multiple people out of the flood. he said in the attic listening to their furnature bump against the ceiling he felt the house shift on the foundation and realized he had to go, the house was lost. 

The water not only caused unfixable damage to the home, but damaged and destroyed tools he had worked decades to collect. Not to mention all of the families  vehicles were completely submerged and unknown if they can be saved.

My family are the first ones to race to help others, and never ask for themselves. They have insurance but there’s a lot it won’t cover. We are trying to raise $100,000 to try to replace those things that can be replaced and not covered by insurance and help them in rebuilding their home.
