My name is Claire Zink. I'm setting this GoFundMe account, for the Wittig Family. Here's a brief bio and why I feel they are deserving.
Eric Wittig, a Gulf War Veteran US Army, Afghanistan specifically, recently retired from US Army Reserves, small business owner, ASAP Towing, husband, father and grandfather.
During his first deployment, his family had to maintain all aspects of his business. They kept it afloat with hard work and dedication.
Eric was getting ready for his second deployment when he was diagnosed with neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer. With his type of cancer he also has to battle extreme glucose abnormalities and hypertension.
Last Thursday night, early Friday morning, we received a call from his wife Holly. Eric had a stroke. Severe bleeding in his head that caused paralysis on the left side of his body and has affected his speech.
This fund will help the family with meals, lodging, travel and any medical costs they might incure.
In order for the family to be together during this traumatic time, the family business will suffer.
With this financial help the Wittig's might rest a bit easier and be able to help in Eric's recovery.
