Withrow Rugby Elite Tournament Opportunities
For Withrow Rugby, it's more than a game.
Here in the heart of Cincinnati, we are building a legacy of excellence step by step.
In year one of our program, we had 1 young man participate in an elite postseason tournament (Chris Phillips with EIRA Midwest in Denver). Chris came back changed: more confident, self-assured, a better player and leader.
In year two of our program, we had 1 young man selected to compete inthe Las Vegas Invitational (Jaden with EIRA Midwest), and 5 young men participate in elite postseason tournaments with EIRA Midwest (St. Louis), SW Ohio All-Stars (Indianapolis), and 1 selected for EIRA National Team (Le'Donn for Ontario, Canada tour).
In year three of our program, we will have between 7-9 of our young men, and 2-3 young women participate in elite postseason tournaments. Three senior young men, and three senior young women from Withrow have already signed college scholarship letters of intent worth several hundred thousand dollars in total monies.
As you can see, as our program has grown, and as elite participation has increased, we've leveraged that increased exposure into college access and hundreds of thousands of dollars of scholarship assistance. It's easy to make the case that $1 of money donated toward Withrow Rugby athletes reaps a financial reward at minimum ten times the investment! Even more, you're investing in changing outcomes, sending a positive ripple effect out into future generations.
As an urban-core program, our players are often very limited in what they can contribute financially, and so we look for ways to close the gap of funding. We also value the hard-earned money of contributors, so we want to be modest in the elite opportunities we pursue for our players. We are limiting funding requests to two tournaments (and any leftover monies for a possible national team selection and tour). The cost of a Withrow player traveling to Denver with EIRA Midwest will be $420, and the cost of a Withrow player traveling to Tennessee with the SW Ohio All-Stars will be $200. Any amount donated will go directly into player registration, food, and travel for our athletes.
We thank you in advance for your support and how it will sow a seed of hope for a brighter future for our student-athletes. Again, it's more than a game for us!
