On Monday, May 8th, Alan suffered a severe stroke on the left side of his brain due to a blood clot causing right side paralysis and the inability to speak. The repercussion of the clot was a huge amount of swelling in his brain causing further damage throughout his body. He will have to re-learn many basic life skills, such as eating and talking.
Alan and Elaine have lived lives of service to God and spreading his love. You may even know them personally and can attest to the light they shine upon all those whom they encounter.
The entire family has accepted this unexpected burden God has placed in their path. And now, they need us.
God has blessed all of us with different gifts and talents and He has blessed all of us with different financial resources. Abby and Elizabeth (Claire’s roommates) are inviting you to pray about how much money God is calling you to support Alan on his road to recovery.
No gift is too small. No gift is too large. God can work through a gift of any size.
ICU costs can easily approach $10,000 per day. Alan was in ICU for 14 days. For those two weeks that Alan was in the ICU, the Manson-Bishop family rode a roller-coaster of emotions, gritting their teeth, waiting for God to perform a miracle. By God’s grace, Alan is a fighter and now the Manson-Bishop family needs us. They need a community of people to help Alan on the road to recovery first and foremost with prayers and secondly, with financial support.
Will you consider giving a gift of $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000 or even more to help this wonderful man and his family?
Please know that our ultimate expression of gratitude for your support is remembering you in our daily prayers. We ask that you also keep Alan and his family in your prayers.
We will post updates as we receive them.
