Ethan involved in Motorcycle Crash

On Sunday June 12, Ethan was involved in a motorcycle accident in Charles city. He was then life flighted to University of Iowa in Iowa City. Ethan sustained multiple cuts, bruises, and internal bleeding. He underwent surgery and they were able to find and stop the bleeding. In order to do this they had to remove part of his colon and small intestines. They also had to repair a hole in his large intestines. He was left with an open surgical site and He will undergo another surgery in a few days to make sure the sutures are still in place from fixing the hole and nothing else needs to be removed. His internal bleeding and shock has also caused him to have high blood pressure. Due to these risks, he is currently intubated and in the ICU.
