Payton recently had plates removed from her knees that were inserted to straighten her legs. She now has to learn to walk again. This requires specialized intensive physical and occupational therapy that is only available at a hospital 2 hours away.
Her grandparents will be taking unpaid time away from their jobs to live with her near the hospital where she will receive daily therapy and classes as the school year begins. The projected time is currently given as “an unspecified number of weeks.”
Payton was born with a rare condition called Pompe Disease that affects the muscles. Her whole life has been impacted by this disease. A simple task like writing is difficult for her as she can't put enough pressure on a pencil to make her letters legible.
Any contribution you can make to ease this financial difficulty will be greatly appreciated. We also ask for your prayers for Payton’s healing and the family as they care for her.
