This is Sonny girl! My sweet 3-year-old Goldendoodle. My 75lb ray of sunshine!

Sonny is in need of a gastrotomy (surgery). She loved a squeaker toy so much, she ate it.

We have pet insurance but are unsure how much will be covered. My girl is worth every penny to me but with my recent layoff, a $7,000 surgery is financially overwhelming.

We expect her hospital stay to be 2-3 days post-surgery. Recovery from a gastrotomy is approximately 2-3 weeks. I’m hopeful that insurance will cover a good chunk of her expenses (but you never know).
