with postoperative care

Hi everybody. My name is Da'Shell. I am a 27 year old , mother of a 2 year old baby girl. I know everybody is going through very tough times but if you have the moment to read my story and donate anything , even a dollar , I could appreciate it all .

Many people who know me , already know , that I've been in and out of the hospital for years . From being in the hospital for a week almost dying from sepsis in 2019, from several visits to the ER for gastric and ovarian issues between 2017-2022 , immediate open eye surgery (I had to stay awake for the procedure or I was gonna lose my baby) when i was 5 months pregnant in 2020 bc i was going blind in the only eye that i have vision in , and the list truly goes on. My health has been an issue since birth when i came into this world with only one eye having vision and shortly after, I was sick with meningitis that took away all of my hearing out of one ear and partial hearing out the next. It feels like I can't catch a break and this is the life I have to live through .

Well, July 2022, I had experienced an episode of vomiting for a month straight. In and out of different ERs every few days/ weeks trying to find an answer. Finally , I went to see a doctor who ordered 2 different endoscopies (a camera scope down your throat to take images of your throat and stomach) . Not only did they find the cause of my vomiting, (a serious stomach infection,) they also found a huge ball in the pit of my esophagus closing in .

Come to conclusion , it's something called a duplication cyst . A cyst that develops when you're in the uterus . The urgency of this upcoming surgery , is so that the cyst doesn't not only block food from going down, but it could interfere with my breathing and also, eventually burst through my esophagus causing either a major infection , more intensive surgery and even possibly death .

The surgery that is being performed is called , robotic surgery , where the doctor remotely controls an actual robot to go through my right rib and into the chest cavity to remove this cyst. This huge operation will have me in bed for 4 weeks to fully heal. I am terrified because I have a 2 year old daughter who is going to need somebody to take care of her while I can not. As well as , bills and rent that I won't even be able to take care of . We've already faced eviction once since i fell behind that month in july when i was sick and now I can not fathom going through that again . I'm putting alot of my pride to the side , just to ask for a little bit of help, please. If you know me , you know I'm never one to ask for this kind of help. I'm in desperation for help , please. I can't even stomach the surgery that I will be having in March and I just pray that I make it out alive and well . Even prayers are accepted payments. I love you all.
