As most know my mom was airlifted from cape canaveral hospital to ORMC on Friday July 18 for emergency surgery. We have known about her aneurysm and had follow ups in place but it became serious and life threatening. My mom has / had an abdominal aortic aneurysm.
An aortic aneurysm is a bulge in the wall of your aorta, the main artery from your heart. Aortic aneurysms form in a weak area in your artery wall. They may rupture (burst) or split (dissect), which can cause life-threatening internal bleeding or block the flow of blood from your heart to various organs.
Her doctors advised that if she was taken by ambulance it may have been more critical, which is why they opted to airlift her.
Because of the surgery my mother will be out of work for three weeks, on top of the enormous bills from the hospital stay and transport. I’m just trying to relieve any bit I can. If you can donate it is greatly appreciated, if not a share is appreciated as well.
I am very grateful my mom is alive and well and just want to help anyway I can for her.
